Railway infrastructure installations, construction and maintenance of lines, accessory civil work
Ing De Aloe Costruzioni s.r.l. was established in 1984 by Eng. Antonio De Aloe, as a company specialized in railway works and autonomous from his father’s company, which had been already working in the industry for many decades.
At first, the company carried out ordinary and extraordinary maintenance activities for the RFI lines equipment in Trentino Alto Adige, acquiring the necessary skills and reliability, firstly working on remaking station plans and then renewing first line tracks.
In the same area, it worked for local customers, building the new intermodal terminal of Roncafort and modernizing the Trento Primolano line for the Provincia Autonoma di Trento as well as reopening the Merano Malles line and modernizing the Fortezza San Candido line for the Provincia Autonoma di Bolzano.
Since the narrow-gauge Trento Malè railway line is the same area, the company had the opportunity to acquire skills also for that kind of gauge, carrying out, with the operating railway, the almost full renewal of the line (approx. 45 km), including station plans, and realizing, in collaboration with general construction companies, significant works for the extension (approx. 15 km) of the same line or alterations for land filling. Having acquired skills on metric gauge, later the company worked abroad on narrow-gauge railway lines.
Its works in this field include:
- In France, the modernization of approximately 25 km of the Chemins de Fer de Province railway line in Val du Var, of approximately 60 km of the Le Blanc-Argent railway line close to Romorantin-Lanthenay, of approximately 15 km of the Saint Gervais-Martigny railway line near Chamonix, with stretches sloping up to 90 per thousand;
- In Switzerland, the restoration of the Tirano station for Ferrovia Retica;
- In Belgium, the renovation of the Tramway Touristique del l’Aisne railway line.
The company is included in the official list of suppliers of RFI, for which it deals with ordinary and extraordinary maintenance in Alto Adige and other areas of Northern Italy and its staff has obtained the qualifications requested by RFI (site protection, vehicle driving and armditte).
Moreover, it qualified in sectors such as track diagnostics, safety and rolling stocks design and maintenance, proposing itself as a full-range interlocutor to different public (railways and subways) and private customers, for new realizations and/or ordinary/extraordinary maintenance.
Within its works, in order to meet the requirements of turnkey works, the company has acquired skills also on the execution of civil works such as station platforms, underpasses and shelters, being certified for public works also in this sector.
The current operating staff consists of more than 100 units, including assistants, foremen, machine operators, road-rail excavators operators, welders, trackmen.
